Senior Rated Vendors, LLC ("we", "us") introduces older adults and their families to vetted service providers. This page explains what we collect, why, and who else sees it. We have tried to say it plainly.

If you are asking for help (a client)

What we collect. When you submit a work order: your name, telephone number, service address, an optional email address, a description of the work you need, and which vendor you chose. If someone submits on your behalf, we also collect their name and number. Later we record your answers to our check-in questions (did the vendor contact you, was the work done) and any rating you give.

You do not need an account. There is no password and nothing to log into.

Why we collect it. To pass your request to the vendor you chose, to check in with you afterwards, and to step in if something goes wrong. We do not use it for anything else, and we do not send marketing.

Who sees it. The vendor you selected, and our staff. Your home address is never shown publicly, never put in a link, and is not given to any other vendor.

If you are a vendor

What we collect. The details on your application: your name, business name, contact details, the services you offer, and the areas you cover. We also collect the documents we need to approve you, such as your certificate of insurance and bond, and notes from your interview. We keep your payment card and the history of referral fees charged to it.

Who sees it. Our staff. Your business name, services and client ratings may be shown publicly. Your documents and card details are not.

Who else handles information on our behalf

We use a small number of service providers, and give each only what its job needs:

  • Stripe processes vendor card payments. We never see or store a full card number.
  • Resend delivers our emails.
  • Twilio delivers text messages, if and when we have text messaging switched on. See our Text Message Terms.
  • Supabase hosts our database and files.
  • Vercel hosts this website.
  • Google Drive stores vendor documents.
  • Sentry receives error reports so we can fix faults. We aim to keep personal details out of them.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising. We may disclose it where the law requires, or to protect someone's safety.

Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to run the site and to keep staff and vendors signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep work order and referral records permanently. They are our business records, and they are how we answer a question about what happened years later. We keep vendor documents for as long as the vendor is on the site, and afterwards as long as our records require.

Your choices

  • Reply STOP to any text and the texts stop. We will use email or telephone instead.
  • You can ask us what we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, by calling the number on our contact page.
  • You can ask us to delete your information. Where a record is part of our business history we may need to keep it, and we will tell you if so.

Security

We protect information with encryption in transit, access limited to staff who need it, and a separate sign-in step for administrators. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot promise otherwise.

Children

This site is for adults and is not directed at children.

Changes

If we change this page, we will update the date at the top. If a change is material, we will say so on the site.
